Weirdest Cravings A Woman Might Have During Pregnancy

Pregnant women always have to deal with all kinds of problems and responsibilities. When you get pregnant the first thing you deal with is morning sickness. Visiting a baby scan clinic certainly comes next. As you go along with your pregnancy you start to have all kinds of weird cravings. If you think your craving of pickle sandwich is the weirdest, think again. Here is a list of weirdest cravings that have been shared by women during their pregnancy.

Cheese and pickles: There is something really disgusting about mixing something sour with milk or cheese which is also a form of milk only.

Sauerkraut on everything: A lot of women get the craving of eating anything sour. Putting sauerkraut on every food works every time.

Meat with milk: It could be chicken, red meat or even pork as long as it is some kind of meat. Milk or ice cream along with it just about sounds right for some women.

Spicy food: Now this might not sound so weird, but for some women who have avoided or not liked spicy food, suddenly starts cravings all kinds of spicy food.

Pickle on shakes or coffees: Sounds disgusting doesn’t it? But for some pregnant women, it totally works.

For some women, it’s not even foods that they crave. This condition is called Pica. Doctors say due to the deficiency of certain nutrients like iron, zinc Pica occurs.

An ice cube or refrigerator air: Cravings does not always mean you can only eat it. Sometimes smelling it works too. A woman during pregnancy shared that she had a craving of smelling the refrigerator air. She would sometimes do it at night too. Eating ice cube can be fun too as long as you don’t get cold.

Dirt or mud: Most of the cravings of pica is not edible. It does not mean you can give into it. Try avoiding it if you suddenly start craving sand, dirt or mud which mostly happens due to anemia.

Chalk: It is a fairly popular one, but weird too.

Dishwashing soap: I guess for some women there is no limit to cleanliness. But if you do get this craving don’t give into it or sometimes, just smelling it works too.

Toothpaste: A lot of children get this craving while brushing teeth, so maybe it’s not that weird during pregnancy. It is most definitely better than dirt and chalk.

If you are pregnant which craving sounds familiar to you?
